Great. I was getting so pissed off with the activation failures. Mentioned to my boss we got the wrong key, etc. Then I read this. Fun. I guess 3 years for me could make a difference.

Thanks for the tip on changing the date. My Windows Server 2008 trial had expired, and I couldn't get the system re-armed. Changing the date reinitialized the 3-day grace period. Once this was accomplished, i was able to re-arm my trial. Thanks again.

I'll run into problems on the 19th April next year and so will need yyyy in the filename too. This worked for me:

"MyFile_" + (DT_STR, 4, 1252) YEAR( GETDATE() ) + RIGHT("0" + (DT_STR, 2, 1252) MONTH( GETDATE() ), 2) + RIGHT("0" + (DT_STR, 2, 1252) DAY( GETDATE() ), 2) + ".xls"

No need to reinstall. Just change the date and restart the W32Time service and activate. Worked for me

Dear god, thank you. I have been using Adobe Bridge to work around this problem for weeks and couldnt find a good website with info to fix it. Did all the same things as the others.

FYI: I turned off Num Lock, and I disabled one of my two monitors and then just held down the left key. It worked in two seconds after I did all that.

IE has a bug when it tries to serve plugin content over https - remove all your no-cache headers and it will work.
